Shahjahanabad, the ancient walled city in present-day New Delhi, India, was built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. I spent two weeks roaming the streets of Old Delhi, exploring its narrow alleys, snaking through pungent aromas filling the air and the endless cacophony of sounds. Looking back, I was fascinated by the traditional ways of living inside a walled area placed in a modern metropolis that made Shahjahanabad a living time-capsule.
